Why does the skin on my lower back feel like it’s burning?

For a few days now, my lower left back has been hurting on the surface. Hurting is not exactly how to put it – more like the skin has been chafing or something and there's this weird over-sensitivity in that area. Whether it's touched by clothes or a breeze or fingertips or whatever. It hurts when I lie down so I sit up with a heating pad on the area. I would like to know what it is about. Why only that area? I don't have a skin condition there like eczema (I'm sure) and there are no rashes/pimples.
Answers:
maybe you have sunburn or something? try putting lotion over it.
